Elise is a Counselor Trainee (CT) under the supervision of Dawn Swartz, LPCC-S. She is currently working toward her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Ashland University. Elise is sensitive to and understanding of the many life challenges and questions that have brought you to counseling; she will create a safe and nurturing space to collaboratively explore your unique needs and goals. Elise practices from a philosophy of holism (mind, body, and spirit) and considers all the distinct parts that make up an individual and how they influence one’s life story.


Elise’s special interests include life issues associated with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance abuse, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. She utilizes a broad range of evidence-based approaches in her therapeutic work including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Strengths-Based and Mindfulness-Based methodologies, among others. Elise is committed to learning about and treating your specific needs while ensuring you receive the personalized care you deserve. She admires the courage required to seek help and looks forward to walking alongside you as you navigate your path of self-understanding, growth, and healing.
