Amy is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Service with a clinical concentration from Bryn Mawr College. She has over 18 years of experience providing trauma-informed psychotherapy and addictions counseling to groups, families, and individuals across the full life span.
At Aaron’s Hope, Amy works with children, adolescents, and adults who are seeking guidance meeting life’s challenges. Because the therapeutic relationship between clinician and client is a vehicle for change, Amy endeavors to build rapport and trust with clients by treating them with respect and compassion. She uses Cognitive Behavioral, EMDR, Sand-play, Psychodynamic, and Child Centered Play therapies to help her clients address issues such as trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, anger, substance use disorders, divorce, loss, and grief. Amy’s areas of special interest include chronic illness and palliative care. She uses a holistic approach taking into account a person’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual life experiences.
